1. We are chosen (elect) by God.

2. We have a heavenly inheritance.

3. We will receive salvation.

I. Rejoice In Grief.

A. Rejoice because of inheritance and salvation.

B. Grief because of trials.

1. Only lasts for a little while (like a vapor James 4: 14).

2. Test of genuineness of your faith.

II. Our Faith.

A. Praise, honor and glory for Christ.

B. We love Jesus without seeing Him.

C. We believe without seeing Him.

D. We rejoice.

E. We receive the end of faith - salvation.

III. This Salvation.

A. The prophets sought to know.

1. Salvation is God's grace or gift.

2. Wanted to know what this salvation was.

3. Wanted to know when it would come.

B. The prophet's ministry.

1. The message not for them.

2. It was for people much later.

C. The angels even desire to know.

Conclusion:

A. How Have We Been Blessed?

1. We are chosen by God.

2. We have a guaranteed inheritance.

3. We have been blessed with salvation.

B. Living Takes on a Whole New Meaning.

1. God deserves praise, adoration and worship.

2. My life belongs to Him.
