THE GRACE OF GOD

Introduction:

A. Paul's Reminder.

1. A thorn to keep him from being proud.

2. Told God's Grace was "enough."

B. What Does He Mean?

1. What is this grace He is talking about.

2. Why is it sufficient?

Body: 2 Corinthians 12: 7 - 10

I. The Grace of Salvation (2 Corinthians 5: 17 - 6: 2).

A. Those "in Christ" are newly created.

B. "In Christ" is found reconciliation with God.

C. "In Christ" is found salvation from sin.

II. The Grace of Acceptance (Ephesians 1: 3 - 10).

A. We are blessed with every spiritual blessing.

B. We are adopted by God.

C. We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

D. We are all together.

III. The Grace of God's Wisdom (Titus 2: 11 - 14).

A. We are taught.

1. To deny - being without God, eagerly desiring earthly treasures.
2. To live - seriously, with right actions, like God.
3. To look - for Jesus' return.

B. We are redeemed.

1. From deeds outside of God's law.
2. To be His special people.
3. To be zealous for good works.

IV. The Grace of Justification (Titus 3: 4 - 8).

A. We have been saved.

1. By the washing of regeneration - baptism.
2. By the renewing of the Holy Spirit.

B. We have become heirs.

C. Good works are now our priority.

Conclusion:

A. The Grace of God.

1. Salvation.

2. Spiritual Blessing.

3. Truth.

4. Justification.
