Body: 2 Peter 1: 12 - 15

I. Remember Your Creator [Ecclesiastes 12: 1, 6].

A. Don't lose sight of who is in control.

B. Don't lose sight of your eternal destiny.

C. Don't risk becoming "set in the wrong habits."

II. Remember His Word [2 Timothy 2: 15, 3: 16, 17].

A. There is no knowledge more important than the knowledge of Christ.

B. There is no better way to understand and deal with life.

C. There is no preparation greater than preparing for eternity.

III. Remember Christ's Sacrifice [1 Corinthians 11: 23 - 26].

A. His body was broken for us.

B. His blood was poured out.

1. It cleanses us from sin and unrighteousness.
2. It enabled the new covenant.

C. He died for our life, liberty and eternal happiness.

Conclusion:

A. Remember!

1. What our forefathers have done.

a. The foresight to fight for freedom.
b. The courage to endure.
c. The sacrifices made to accomplish this vision.

2. God and what He has done.

a. The foresight to create this creation.
b. The grace and mercy to reach out with forgiveness.
c. The love to make the greatest sacrifice.
