READY FOR DUTY

B. Are We Just As Ready For Duty?

Body: Colossians 4: 2 - 6

I. Wise Dealings (Colossians 4: 2 - 6).

A. Earnestly pray for open doors to be available.

B. Also pray for boldness to speak.

C. Walk wisely among the worldly.

1. Do not hinder your ability to persuade them.
2. Use the time you have been given wisely.
3. Watch your speech carefully.
4. Be ready to answer their questions.

II. Proper Dealings (1 Thessalonians 4: 9 - 11).

A. Continually increase in brotherly love.

1. How can we say that we love our neighbor when we do not love our brother?
2. How can we say that we love God when we do not love our brother? (1 John 4: 20, 21).

B. Take care of your affairs.

C. Be righteous in your actions with the world.

III. Good Dealings (Galatians 6: 7 - 10).

A. We reap what we sow.

1. Sow a lot = reap a lot.
2. Sow little = reap little,

B. Continue to do good.

1. Not just a few times.
2. Not just ever now and then.

C. Take advantage of the opportunities to do good!

Conclusion:

A. Are We Ready For Duty?

1. During crises or tragedies?

2. When called upon by those inside or outside?

3. For the long haul.

B. Do People See Christ In Us Every Day?
