A. The Responsibilities.

1. Obey your parents.
a. In the Lord.
1.) Those who are Christians.
2.) Obedience is a characteristic of Christians.
b. This is right.
1.) There will be times when they make mistakes.
2.) Being obedient keeps you right.
2. Honor your parents.
a. This is a commandment.
b. It has a promise.

B. The Promise.

1. That it may be well with you.
2. That you may live long on the earth.

II. Fathers.

A. Do not provoke them to wrath.

B. Bring them up.

1. In the training of the Lord.
(training, correction, nurture)
2. In the admonition of the Lord.
(rebuke, warning, calling attention to)

Conclusion:
