WE SEE JESUS

Introduction:

A. God Has Blessed Us With Salvation.

1. It cost Him a tremendous price.

2. It cost His Son His life.

3. By God's grace, we have received a free gift.

B. We Must Decide What To Do With It.

Body: Hebrews 2: 1 - 9

I. Give Earnest Heed.

A. To what we have heard.

B. Lest we drift away.

C. Word was spoken through angels.

1. The Jews believed angels were instruments God used to deliver the law.
2. Angels delivered God's message to Lot (Genesis 19: 12, 13)..

D. Every transgression receives justice.

1. This occurs for all who have sinned.
2. Even the angels are included (cf. 2 Peter 2: 4).

II. A Great Salvation.

A. How shall we escape.

B. We can neglect salvation.

1. If we do not give earnest heed.
2. If we drift away from the truth.

C. It was spoken by the Lord.

1. He began it's delivery.
2. The apostle's confirmed it.
3. God bore witness with miraculous proof.

III. The World's Pending Subjection.

A. Everything is to be put into subjection.

1. This includes the angels.
2. Will be under Jesus.

B. What Jesus did.

1. He became lower than the angels.
2. He suffered death (crowned with glory and honor).
3. He tasted death for everyone.

Conclusion:

A. Have You Accepted God's Gift To You?

B. Are You Using God's Gift To You?

C. Are You Showing Your Appreciation To God?
