I. We Are To Bear Much Fruit.

A. That is our purpose.

1. Why does a grapevine exist?

2. It must bear fruit to be a fruit vine!

a. It bears nutritious fruit.

b. It bears delicious and desirable fruit.

c. It bears fruit which will continue future production.

B. What kind of fruit.

1. Fruit of the Spirit.

2. Fruit of eternal life.

3. Fruit of reproduction.

II. How To Bear Fruit.

A. We must abide in Christ.

1. Abide means to dwell or live with.

a. The place where our heart is.

b. The place where we find rest, both physical and spiritual.

c. The place where we can be found.

2. Our life must be in Christ.

a. To live is Christ (Philippians 1: 21).

b. Our life is found in Him (Colossians 3: 4).

B. We must abide in His words.

1. Abiding in Christ means living with His Word.

a. The source of our decisions.

b. The pattern for our living.

c. The means of understanding.

2. Living with Christ means living with God.

C. Without Christ, we are nothing!
