I. Jesus Is The Vine.

A. There are seemingly many vines.

1. Many make promises of happiness and success.

2. Some are completely false.

3. All but one are not the way to God and heaven.

B. Jesus is the only true vine.

C. God takes care of the Vine.

D. Good crops are born through proper care.

1. God is capable of providing the best care.

2. Proper care involves pruning.

3. All that God does is for our good.

II. We Must Abide In Christ.

A. Jesus is the source of life (John 1: 3, 4).

B. Jesus is the source of abundant life.

C. Involves a close, intimate personal relationship (v. 4a).

D. Can do nothing without Jesus (v. 5).

III. We Must Bear Fruit.

A. Those who do not bear fruit... (v. 6)

1. Are cast out and wither.

2. Gathered up, cast into the fire, and burned.

B. Those who bear fruit... (vs. 7, 8)

1. Will receive what they ask.

2. Will glorify the Father.

3. Will be Christ's disciples.

Conclusion:

A. How About You?

1. Do you abide in Christ and He in you? (Jesus possessed!)

2. Are you bearing fruit?

3. Is your life full and abundant?
