B. Consider Two Very Different Sisters.

Body: Luke 10: 38 - 42

I. Martha.

A. The Conscientious Hostess.

1. Concerned about preparations for special guest.
2. Distracted from message.

B. The Busy Worker.

1. Going "ninety to nothing' to accomplish.
2. Busy with doing all of the "necessary things."

C. The Complainer.

1. Complains about working alone.
2. Desires others to be told to help.

II. Mary.

A. The Avid Student.

1. Understands she is in the presence of "The Teacher."
2. Takes time from life to find out about life.

B. The Unhurried Listener.

1. Sits at feet = must look up to.
2. Not only listened, but also heard.

C. Unconcerned About Physical.

1. Some things can wait.
2. Making sure "things are right" less important than "me being right with God."

Conclusion:

A. The Choice.

1. Make this life better for ourselves, children, family, etc.

2. Make eternal life better for ourselves, children, family, etc.
