A. Have You Ever Lost An Invitation?

1. May have been to an important banquet.

2. May have been to child's special event.

B. Have You Ever Turned Down An Invitation?

Body: Luke 14: 15 - 24

I. Who Is Blessed?

A. Jesus has told the Parable of the Seating Arrangements.

B. Admonishes them to invite those who cannot pay back.

C. Listener cries out, "Blessed are those..."

II. Who Is Invited?

A. A man gives a great supper.

B. Many invited.

C. No RSVP's just excuses.

1. Bought property without seeing it.
2. Bought oxen without trying them out.
3. Just married, so tied down.

D. Servant reports excuses.

III. Who Eats Bread In The Kingdom?

A. Not those initially invited - they are outcast!

B. The outcasts are invited.

1. Those unable to pay for necessities.
2. Those unable to fend for themselves.
3. Those unable to walk for themselves.
4. Those unable to see.

C. Servant commanded to compel attendance.

1. Desire to have a full house.
2. Desire to exclude previously invited.

Conclusion:

A. What A Great Tragedy!

1. Invited to free meal.

2. Turned down invitation.

3. Excluded from the festivities and fellowship.
