I. How To Act.

A. Receive a invitation.

B. Having Arrived...

1. Do not take the best seat.
a. Someone more important may have been invited.
b. You would be embarrassed by having to move.
c. You would have to take the lowest seat.
(further embarrassment by being demoted)
2. Take the lowest seat.
a. That may be your seat anyway!
b. You will save yourself embarrassment.
c. You will be honored by being considered better.

II. Who To Invite.

A. Do not invite friends, relatives or rich neighbors.

1. The will feel obligated to return the favor.
2. They might be able to provide better accommodations.
3. They may talk behind your back, not say thank you, etc.

B. Invite the outcasts.

1. They will not be able to return the favor.
2. They will not be able to provide as well.
3. They will thank you profusely and "treat you right."
4. God will have taken notice.

Conclusion:

A. Who Are We Looking To "Treat?"

1. Our friends, neighbors, the rich, etc.

2. Those who do not have and are outcast.
