Body: Luke 19: 41 - 48

I. Coming To Jerusalem.

A. Rode on a colt from Bethany and Bethphage (28 - 40).

1. Treated as a king arriving to take kingdom.

2. Receives homage due to a king.

B. Jerusalem seen from top of Mount of Olives.

1. People burst into rejoice.

2. Sing praises to God.

3. Remember the mighty works Jesus has done.

II. Weeps Over Jerusalem.

A. Unaware.

1. Jesus weeps as He nears Jerusalem.

2. Jerusalem's special day wasted.

3. Peace is hidden from them.

B. The destruction to come.

1. Buildings will be completely demolished.

2. The city will be leveled.

3. The people will be destroyed.

III. Cleansing Of The Temple.

A. Drove out business people.

1. Goes to the temple.

2. Licensed thieves and robbers.

3. Jesus restores the sanctity of the temple.

B. Taught daily.

1. Restores the teaching of the truth.

2. Can now be accomplished without the racket "of business."

C. The people listened.

1. The leaders desire to kill.

2. The peoples' desire to hear.
