Body: Luke 6: 43 - 49

I. Identify Your Fruit.

A. The Law of Nature.

1. Good trees bear good fruit  (Good people produce good things for God).

2. Bad trees bear harmful fruit  (Evil people produce harmful results for God).

B. Trees are known by their fruit  (Apple, peach, pear, cherry, pecan, etc.).

C. People are known by the fruit which is produced by what is in their heart.

D. A person's heart is revealed by their speech.

II. A Solid Foundation.

A. Hearing, but not doing is unacceptable.

B. Two Builders.

l. One digs a foundation, prepares for the worst, resists and overcomes the flood  (So is the one who hears Jesus and puts into practice).

2. The second hurriedly builds, is not prepared, and loses everything  (So is the one who hears Jesus and does not practice).

Conclusion:

A. Time For A Fruit Inspection!

l. Are you bearing fruit?

2. What kind of fruit are you bearing - for God or for self?

3. Who gets the glory?

B. Time For A Building Inspection!

1. Who are you building for?

2. Do you have a permit from God for your building?

3. Is your building being built according to His specifications?
