2. Reliance upon ability and might.

3. Servants of the throne.

I. Jesus Finishes Sermon.

A. Goes to Capernaum.

B. Word travels of the arrival of Jesus.

C. A Centurion hears.

II. The Centurion's Actions.

A. Is close to a servant (one captured in battle?).

B. Loves Israel and built a synagogue.

C. Sends Jewish elders of city to plead.

D. Believes in Jesus power (Jewish leaders also?)!

E. Sends Friends.

l. A man of humility!!  Not Worthy of Jesus.
2. Understanding of authority.

III. The Outcome.

A. Jesus marvels.

1. Takes the opportunity to teach about faith.
2. Compliments the centurion.

B. The servant is healed.

Conclusion:

A. An Example Of Faith!

l. Understanding the authority and power of Jesus.

2. Believing Jesus can accomplish what is needed.
