THE CHALLENGE OF EVANGELISM

Introduction:

A. We Have Such A Wonderful Gift.

1. A better way of living in this world.

2. The hope of a life in a much better world.

B. Are Sharing It?

Body: Acts 26: 15 - 18

I. Open Their Eyes.

A. They must be turned from darkness to light.

1. When your eyes are closed there is not much difference between dark and light.

2. Cannot change unless you see the need to change.

3. Must see effects in order to understand there is a problem.

B. They must be turned from the power of Satan to God.

1. Have you ever been mesmerized by a fire?

2. Satan's power is like a fire.

a. It draws your attention.

b. It grabs hold and will not let go.

II. That They May Receive Forgiveness.

A. Everyone needs forgiveness.

B. We owe God a great debt which must be paid.

C. Either we pay it ourselves or get someone else to pay it.

III. That They May Receive An Inheritance.

A. God is everyone's Father.

1. Christians have chosen to return to Him.

2. Many have not returned.

B. Imagine being at the reading of a will and having your name left off of the list.

1. All will be gathered before the Lord of the Day of Judgment.

2. Only those whose name is in the Book of Life will receive the inheritance.

Conclusion:

A. Matthew 28: 19, 20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
